Making of Moong Dal Sandwich

Moong Dal Sandwich is a unique North Indian recipe that you can easily make at home! This sandwich recipe is a must-try dish if you want to try something different and delicious. Healthy and tasty, this snack recipe is extremely easy-to-make!

Ingredients needed – 6 person

  • 4 slices brown bread
  • 50 gm halved roasted peanuts
  • 15 leaves mint
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup soaked overnight, drained moong dal
  • 1 bunch of chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 raw mango
  • 3 green chili

Steps to Cook

  • Step 1
    Soak the dal overnight, this will help you grind it easily. Drain the water, grind the dal into a fine paste and mix salt as per taste.
  • Step 2
    To make green chutney, grind together coriander leaves, mint leaves, salt, and onion into a fine paste. Take a slice of bread, spread the chutney, and then the ground dal.
  • Step 3
    Break the peanuts into halves and crush them by pressing them between two sheets of paper. Then sprinkle them over the spread with some butter in a pan and grill the sandwich for a while. Your healthy moong dal sandwich is ready to eat.
  • Step 4
    You can eat it for breakfast which a glass of fresh fruit juice or as part of your evening snack with a cup of strong coffee.
