This nautical display sextant is about 6" across and comes with its own latching nautical wood box with brass accents. The box is approximately 7" square and 4.5" tall. The sextant includes a movable radial arm, telescope, mirror, colored light filters and handle. This is a new item made to look like an antique. Some imperfections are likely. Sextants were first used to assist ship navigation in the late 1700s
