Known commonly as Ukade rice, it is popular for its reddish colour and thicker grains.This low GI rice for diabetic has a unique firm texture and slightly nutty grains, making it ideal for coconut milk-based curries. It is Parboiled, meaning boiled in husk. Parboiled rice makes rice easier to process by hand, improves its nutritional profile, and changes its texture. Rich in antioxidants called anthocyanin, which is said to help reduce inflammation, allergies, prevents the risk of cancer and also aids in weight management.
