The British invented curry! Well maybe just the word, curry is actually Kari in India and was introduced to the world by the British East India Trading Co. in the mid 17th century, good thing they did because you probably wouldn't be reading this if they didn't! Inspired by Rani's world famous mild curry powder comes our versatile curry paste! Our authentic blend of aromatic spices ideal for a wide range of Indian dishes, both vegetarian and meat alike.
Spicy Mango Chicken Recipe (Serves 3):
6 tbsp water
115g canned chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp Rani® Mango Chutney
1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
2 tbsp vegetable oil
500g chicken breast, diced
1 onion, chopped
4 tsp Rani® Mild Curry Spice Paste
Gently heat the oil and add the Rani® Mild Curry paste. Add the water and gently fry until almost all of the water has evaporated.
Then add the onions and fry for 5 minutes until soft.
Add the chicken and dry until sealed
Stir in the tomatoes, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Stir in the Rani® Sweet Mango Chutney and serve garnished with the chopped coriander, diced tomato and fresh mango
