Ganesha or Ganesh is HinduismC"b,b"s Lord of Beginnings and Remover of Obstacles. This position is called Ekakshara Ganapati. C"b,EGamC"b,B, the single syllable ( C"b,EekaksharaC"b,B) that is part of the Ganesha mantra Aum Gam Ganapataye Namah, invokes the blessings of the Lord. Ekakshara Ganapati is red-complexioned and adorned with red garments. Seated on Mooshika the mouse, GanapatiC"b,b"s one hand gestures blessings, while the other three hold the goad, noose and a pomegranate. The crescent moon and third eye are present too, in this form. This Ganesh sculpture is handcrafted by the wood artisans in South India.
